Charities are not just a huge part of our business, but they are embedded in the soul of our business. As a bar owner, I struggled with the fact that many people I knew were doing big things, trying to change the world, and although I was following my dream of owning a bar, I felt like I was not helping people like I thought I always would. That is why it has been so important here at Daverns to embed charity events and fundraisers into our DNA. We have raised over $60,000 for charities in our two years open. We have seen the effect it has had on people, and it is our way of giving back. A bar is usually a place to get drunk and make bad decision, but here we like to take that extra step to really help out people. In the end that is what it is really about.
